Indenova was founded in 1993 and was owned by Krister Inde and Marianne Inde. In December 2024 – after more than 30 years – the company was closed. But long before that, Krister Inde had begun writing various books on vision rehabilitation. These publications have now been gathered here as PDF files, along with a number of educational films on related topics, also produced by Krister. If you’re interested, feel free to explore and download.

The main publication is See bad Feel Good, first published in 2003 and reprinted many times. It has been translated into several languages, and those versions that could be retrieved have been collected here and will be added continuously over the coming year. A gift to the world – or simply a way to prevent a book from gathering dust on a shelf – this is where it will remain available for as long as www.indenova.se continues to stay online. Some of the work on this website has been supported by the LHON Eye Society, of which Krister Inde has been a member since its founding in 2012, and for a time also served as chairman.

All translated versions are based on the English edition, originally translated by Eileen Deaner and recently edited by Dr. Nathalie Bussieres, who also translated the French version of Seeing Poorly – Feeling Fine. Thank you, Nathalie! All illustrations are original works from 2003 by Sara Berner. Krister Inde is a vision rehabilitation expert and was awarded an honorary doctorate by Linnaeus University in 2015. He also lives with low vision himself, bringing both professional and personal perspectives into his writing.

Even Closer bokomslag

Even Closer

With the words “Patient Closer Care” …

”… in her first book, Marianne Inde charted a distinct course for patient care. She has
now developed a concrete, step-by-step “organization closer” plan for how care within
organizations can become even closer to the patient.
The book merits use both as a source of information and as a tool for practical
application in day-to-day care and training. I believe that the most important message
of this book is that care should be relevant to the patient. Making the care relevant
to the affected person, as I see it, brings more dignity to the care than only focusing
on validity, reliability and evidence. Relevant care does not need to be in opposition
to these other aspects, but using a relevance criterion such as “patient closer” as a
guiding principle can help organizations avoid care that concentrates only on medical
practicalities.”

Bodil Jönsson
Professor Emeritus, Lund University
